I am beyond disgusted with the TLC network. The initials originally stood for The Learning Channel, but over the decades it has degenerated into a cesspool of reality shows and idiocy! Indeed, I consider it to be downright PERVERTED!

19 Kids and Counting (formerly 17 Kids and Counting and 18 Kids and Counting) is an American reality television series that aired on the cable channel TLC for seven years until its cancellation in 2015. The show features the Duggar family: parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their 19 children – nine daughters and ten sons – all of whose names begin with the letter “J”. During the duration of the show, two children were born, three children were married and four grandchildren were born.

The Duggars avoid birth control, saying they have decided to allow God to determine the number of children they have. The Duggar family has also used “blanket time,” a controversial practice, with their children. They practice chaperoned courtship, in which a couple becomes acquainted only in a group setting. The values presented on the show have been associated with the Quiverfull movement, which has been described as promoting strict family conformity, male hierarchies and subservient roles for women. The Duggars have stated that they are not associated with the Quiverfull movement. However, in an article formerly published on their website titled “Why Have Such a Large Family?”, the Duggars reference Psalms 127:3-5, from which the Quiverfull movement name comes. Moreover, in 2001, Jim Bob and Michelle were interviewed for an article published on a Quiverfull affiliated website.

After a three-year hiatus due to much controversy, Another Toddlers and Tiaras aired the sequel on August 24, 2016. The show follows the personal lives of families of contestants in a child beauty pageant. Like many shows about children pageants, it generated controversy for dressing the children provocatively. The show led to other reality show spin-offs: Eden’s World, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and Cheer Perfection. On November 24, 2016, TLC cancelled the show after its 7th season.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was an American reality television series that aired on TLC featuring the family of child beauty pageant contestant Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. The show premiered on August 8, 2012, and ended on August 14, 2014. Thompson and her family originally rose to fame on TLC’s reality series Toddlers & Tiaras.^[1] The show’s name comes from a taunt that Alana hurled at another pageant contestant during her debut in Toddlers and Tiaras,^[2] but a sweeping misinterpretation from the general public resulted in Alana being referred to as “Honey Boo Boo Child” instead. The show revolves around Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her family’s adventures in the town of McIntyre, Georgia.
