Netanyahu Tells U.S. ‘Not To Ever Second Guess Me Again’ On Hamas
MATTHEW LEE, Associated Press
WASHINGTON (AP) — Following the quick collapse of the cease-fire in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the White House not to force a truce with Palestinian militants on Israel.
Sources familiar with conversations between Netanyahu and senior U.S. officials, including Secretary of State John Kerry, say the Israeli leader advised the Obama administration “not to ever second guess me again” on the matter. The officials also said Netanyahu said he should be “trusted” on the issue and about the unwillingness of Hamas to enter into and follow through on cease-fire talks.
The Obama administration on Friday condemned “outrageous” violations of an internationally brokered Gaza cease-fire by Palestinian militants and called the apparent abduction of an Israeli soldier a “barbaric” action.
The strong reaction came as top Israeli officials questioned the effort to forge the truce, accusing the U.S. and the United Nations of being naive in assuming the radical Hamas movement would adhere with its terms. The officials also blamed the Gulf state of Qatar for not forcing the militants to comply.
<snip>
An Israeli official said the Netanyahu government viewed both Hamas and Qatar as having violated the commitment given to the U.S. and the U.N. and that it expected the international community to take practical steps as part of a “strong and swift response,” especially regarding the return of the abducted soldier.
In a phone call with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro, Netanyahu vented his anger, according to people familiar with the call.
Netanyahu told Shapiro the Obama administration was “not to ever second-guess me again” and that Washington should trust his judgment on how to deal with Hamas, according to the people. Netanyahu added that he now “expected” the U.S. and other countries to fully support Israel’s offensive in Gaza, according to those familiar with the call. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter by name.
They said Netanyahu made similar points to Kerry, who himself denounced the attack as “outrageous,” saying it was an affront to assurances to respect the cease-fire given to the United States and United Nations, which brokered the truce.
The United States is not “second-guessing” anything, you mass murderous bastard! It is telling you that you have gone too far and must STOP! You are a racist!
Seriously, if an Arab killed my mother, would that justify my killing a dozen or so Arabs, including ones that had nothing to do with the guy who killed her? No, but that is what YOU are doing when you wage total war against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in response to Hamas launching rockets that killed or injured a few Israelis. Clearly, you do not value all human lives as equal in rights and dignity, just as the Nazis did not. Fuck you!
Read this story to see why the Gaza Strip may indeed be considered the world’s largest prison camp:

Why Don’t Palestinians Just Leave Gaza? They Can’t.
Here’s why:
OVER LAND
The only legal ways in and out of Gaza are through its official border crossings with Israel and Egypt. Gaza has little control over those crossings, and both of its neighbors have severely restricted the movement of people and goods across the borders because of security concerns.
Israel controls the Erez border crossing in Gaza’s north. Since Hamas was voted into power in Gaza in 2006, Israel only grants Gaza residents permission to cross in certain circumstances, usually for humanitarian reasons such as medical treatment. At the start of the current round of fighting, Israeli authorities did permit hundreds of Gazans holding foreign passports to leave the strip through the Erez crossing.
UNDER LAND
Gazans have created tunnels under both the Israeli and Egyptian borders that are used by militants and by smugglers who bring in goods from across the border. The tunnels on the Israeli side are currently one of the main targets of the Israeli army, as militants have used them to stage deadly attacks inside Israel.
Egypt destroyed more than 150 tunnels on its border last year, arguing that Hamas used them to support Islamist militants on Egypt’s Sinai peninsula.
As the Associated Press explains, the destruction of the underground connection with Egypt was an economic disaster for Hamas, which levied taxes on the smuggled goods. Yet it also constituted a tragedy for many Gaza civilians, who relied on the tunnels for essential goods.
OVER WATER
Israel controls Gaza’s coastal waters and restricts Palestinian boats from traveling farther than 6 nautical miles from the coast. During conflicts, this is often limited to 3 nautical miles. The sea blockade not only prevents boats from getting to and from Gaza, it also severely restricts fishing, once a thriving economic industry in the area.
International activists have tried in the past to break the naval blockade by approaching Gaza by sea. The largest and most controversial effort came in 2010, when six ships carrying aid tried to travel from Turkey to the Gaza Strip. Clashes ensued when the Israeli Navy boarded the ships, leaving nine passengers dead and dozens of soldiers and activists injured.
BY AIR
Israel also controls Gaza’s airspace and does not allow access to and from Gaza via air travel.
Leaving Gaza on a plane hasn’t always been impossible. In 1998, Gaza’s Yasser Arafat International Airport opened for business after its construction had been stipulated in the 1995 Oslo agreements. Then President Bill Clinton even flew in for its official opening. However, Israel shut down the airport in 2000 after the outbreak of the second intifada. Today, the airport remains destroyed and deserted.
One of the claims Israel made to explain the obscene number of non-combatant casualties on the Palestinian side is that Hamas uses its own people as “human shields”, so that when Israel hits targets where weapons are stores, those casualties are inevitable. But this story refutes that claim, showing that Israel hits targets regardless of whether they are controlled by Hamas or not:
Attack near U.N. shelter leaves 10 dead as Israel pulls most ground troops from Gaza
RAFAH, Gaza Strip — As Israel showed signs of scaling back its ground offensive in Gaza, its war from the skies continued Sunday, as an airstrike outside a U.N. school in southern Gaza killed at least 10 people. The bloodshed sparked some of the harshest U.S. criticism of Israel since the war began.
Capt. Eytan Buchman, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, said the targets of the attack in the border city of Rafah were three Palestinian militants riding past the school on a motorcycle. “We identified a successful hit on the target,” Buchman said. “We definitely don’t target civilians or schools.”
But according to eyewitnesses and U.N. officials, an Israeli missile struck just outside the gates of the school. About 3,000 Palestinians were seeking refuge at the facility, and a crowd of civilians had gathered outside — children buying ice cream from a sidewalk vendor, and men and women purchasing food or cigarettes, witnesses said.
That………….is…………….a…………WAR……………CRIME!
The United States needs to end sending aid of any kind to Israel, sever diplomatic ties with it, and push for it to be expelled from the United Nations, the very organization that enabled Israel to exist in the first place. My sympathies for Israel are at an end until it drastically changes its attitude.
I was talking about this on several other blogs and forums.

Also, did you hear about how hardline pro Israel, Hillary Clinton is? She said on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart that all dead Palestinians are the fault of Hamas and Palestinians in general.
Now, my views on foreign policy
‘American foreign policy should seek an America at peace with the world. Our foreign policy should emphasize defense against attack from abroad and enhance the likelihood of peace by avoiding foreign entanglements. We would end the current US government policy of foreign intervention, including military and economic aid. We recognize the right of all people to resist tyranny and defend themselves and their rights. We condemn the use of force, and especially the use of terrorism, against the innocent, regardless of whether such acts are committed by governments or by political or revolutionary groups.’
‘Respect for the sovereignty of all nations means that the United States will not forcefully impose our will on other nations through economic, diplomatic, or military means except as a last resort when that nation poses a clear threat to our prosperity. Supporting our allies means, when ASKED, helping them to build and maintain the same freedoms and prosperity which we enjoy. A fiscally responsible foreign policy means accepting that not every good we wish to do is a good we can afford to do.’
It’d be interesting if the Republicans nominated Rand Paul in 2016, given that Hillary Clinton is so pro Israel and he is so non interventionist.
In third party news, Jill Stein (Green Party), Rock Anderson (Justice Party), and Roseanne Barr (Peace & Freedom Party) may run in 2016 and all are pro Palestine.
‘The Green Party of the United States is calling for an immediate ceasefire in the current exchange of missiles between Israeli and Palestinian forces, negotiation for a just and peaceful resolution to the conflict, an end to Israel’s occupation of Palestinian Territories and human rights violations, repeal of apartheid policies in Israel, and establishment of one democratic state for all in Israel-Palestine.’
‘The Justice Party of America vehemently opposes the recent bombing and ground invasion of Gaza by the Israeli military. We support an immediate withdrawal of Israel’s ground forces from Gaza and a ceasefire by both Hamas and Israel, and we call on both governments to seek diplomatic solutions to the ongoing conflict whose primary victims have been – and will undoubtedly continue to be – unarmed citizens, mostly Palestinians. Additionally, we call on the Israeli government, along with the international community, to put in place measures that will guarantee the immediate and permanent dignity, equality and basic human rights of all Palestinians; whose right to uninhibited movement, worship, and commerce has been systematically diminished, resulting in a predictable retaliation by Hamas which, in turn, has precipitated Israel’s brutal military responses.’
‘The Peace and Freedom Party condemns the recent attacks on the people of the Gaza Strip, the most aggressive since the massacres of 2008. We join the many voices calling for an end to sending arms to Israel. The United States is responsible for these and other violations of US and international law performed with regularity by the Israeli military. As long as the United States enables the Israeli government by providing support such as money, weapons, and diplomatic cover, the violence will continue. As Americans we must once more say “Not in our name.”’
Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party) will probably run as well who is a non interventionist. Andrew Napolitano, Jim Gray, Kip Lee, and Darryl Perry are all other interventionist who may be nominated as well.
I don’t know who, but the Constitution Party is one of the big three third party and will have a pro Israel candidate. They have ballot access in dozens of states, but not as much as Greens and Libertarians do. Virgil Goode, Darryl Perry, and Jim Hayden are all potential nominees.
‘The Constitution Party platform does not address Israel specifically. It does not support policies which would get the United States involved in the internal affairs of other nations, including Israel. That being said, we would not interfere in the efforts of private individuals and organizations to provide aid and support to Israel, without using taxpayer funds…The majority of members of the Constitution Party do recognize Israel as the homeland of God’s Chosen People, but the Constitution itself does not authorize the civil government to provide aid or support to any nation other than the United States.’
Let me make one thing clear: I am neither pro-Israeli nor pro-Palestinian, I am pro-HUMAN. Hamas is an organization of violent opportunistic bastards, no better than the Israeli government, and I do not think there is a “right” side in this conflict. I have made that clear before:

“If I had my way, I’d sweep both [the Palestinians] AND the Jews off the “Holy Land” and allow that land 100 years of healing before I ever allow any people to live there again.”

All of Palestine (Israel and the Palestinian Territories), Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq as well as part of other countries being part of Syria is a goal of some.
Just look at the Irredentism template and see this is an actually not that uncommon viewpoint around the world, but most only have it in he realm of theory with no possibility of acting on it. Honorable mention is among the former Yugoslavia states ie Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia. Also, in the news for the last half of a year is Russia. Irredentism is why Russia wants Crimea and New Russia (their name for East and South Ukraine, if not Ukraine as a whole).
Irredentism (from Italian irredento, “unredeemed”) is any position of a state advocating annexation of territories administered by another state on the grounds of common ethnicity or prior historical possession, actual or alleged. It is often advocated by pan-nationalist movements and has been a feature of identity politics, cultural and political geography. An area that may be subjected to a potential claim is sometimes called an irredenta. Not all irredentas are necessarily involved in irredentism.
