Here are some screenshots of a confrontation between a Muslim over the issue of eating pork and some Christians. And because of my own Christian background, I decided to side with the Christians there.
Of course, as an atheist, I don’t believe in either Jesus or Muhammad. My point was that the claim that Jesus never allowed the eating of pork is a lie, full stop, and that Muslim should be ashamed of himself for lying to promote Islam. Once you start lying to promote any religion, that naturally leads to the conclusion from critics that the religion itself must be a lie.
Even the Baha’i Faith taught that divine laws could be changed. Baha’u’llah wrote in the Kitab-i-Aqdas:
Blessed is the man that hath acknowledged his belief in God and in His signs, and recognized that “He shall not be asked of His doings.” Such a recognition hath been made by God the ornament of every belief and its very foundation. Upon it must depend the acceptance of every goodly deed. Fasten your eyes upon it, that haply the whisperings of the rebellious may not cause you to slip.
Were He to decree as lawful the thing which from time immemorial had been forbidden, and forbid that which had, at all times, been regarded as lawful, to none is given the right to question His authority. Whoso will hesitate, though it be for less than a moment, should be regarded as a transgressor.
If God is truly sovereign, He does indeed have the authority to replace his own laws whenever he sees fit. He can even replace the Quran if He wants, which is why the claim that Muhammad is the “Seal of the Prophets” is actually insulting to God! #blasphemy
And that is why I will NEVER become a Muslim.
