Things have gotten even more hilarious between D C Shepard and Wahid Azal. With me as another target in the meantime.

I’ll repeat what I said there:

I need only make one answer to all this legalistic garbage: Everything I have EVER written on my blog about him over the past several years is true and can be backed up by credible evidence, including screenshots and links to where certain events actually happened. I always take pains to be as credible as possible. He does not!

Also:

Just like in my case over five years ago, Wahid tried desperately to suppress this criticism by filing copyright claims against several of D C Shepard’s works, in both substack and YouTube. Technically, those battles are still ongoing, but the idea of fair use should be enough to protect D C’s right to freedom of speech.

But not knowing when to give up, Azal actually filed a lawsuit this time….

Has the work been registered by the Copyright Office?

No

Then how can he even claim a copyright on it?

Seriously, how can a copyright be claimed at all on a simple photograph of a person in a natural setting?

THIS, on this other hand, is a work of art and is copyrighted, by me:

It has MY NAME and a copyright symbol on it! And only two people have been stupid enough to use it against me: A user in Care2 known as Sally H and……WAHID AZAL! Yes, he claimed copyright on MY CIRCLE H LOGO after I had him put it on a podcast he and I made together, and thus the podcast was MINE, never his. HE ACTUALLY TRIED TO STEAL MY WORK AND BLATANTLY LIED ABOUT IT!

He must be totally deplatformed all over the internet to protect the public from his psychotic backstabbing. If I could, I’d have him imprisoned too.

  2. Technically, you don’t have to register copyright for it to be valid. You just have to have proof you did it first (hence why Wahid Azal backdated a fake blog to try to get you in a poor man’s copyright; similar examples include mailing yourself a manuscript).

    However, as you’ve mentioned before, claiming sole copyright over a photograph used in an online blog (if only I could remember which one, but it’s felt like a decade of him harassing me when it’s only been a month) is ridiculous.
