For most of the 20th Century, the Walt Disney Company was one of the most respected entertainment producers in the world. But recently its reputation has been ripped to shreds, mostly due to their own actions.

1. Disney actually ripped off a Japanese franchise, Kimba the White Lion, and used story elements from it to create their own franchise, that of the Lion King. To this day, Disney continues to milk off that stolen intellectual property without ever admitting to what they have done.
2. Disney has bought LucasFilm (gaining ownership of the Star Wars franchise) and Marvel Comics (gaining ownership of such superheros as Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Captain America, the X-Men, and many more). It seems that Disney has gotten too big for their own good and I think govenments should step in to stop such greedy acquisitions.
3. Instead of making a lot of new story ideas, Disney has been playing it safe and producing remakes of successful movies from the past, such as The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, the Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid and…..Snow White.

And finally, people have gotten SICK unto death of that third trend and are rebelling by expressing their hatred on YouTube. Including me!

So it is clear that the Disney empire may soon start to fall. That downfall can’t come soon enough.
