A Troll Tries to Disrupt the Plotagon Community
Late last year, an unknown individual made multiple accounts via social media, including YouTube, and launched a crazed campaign against a young user of Plotagon named Kieron Faming, accusing him of being racist (he is not).

Not content to attack Faming, the troll then proceeded to target all his friends as well. After several months of this abuse, a few of us finally decided to take action. In Instagram, they created a new chat room, repeatedly forced the troll into it, and subjected him to the same psychotic HATE he’d been subjecting us to. That tactic finally worked and the troll’s will was BROKEN!
The next day, he released this statement:

Well, Plotagon’s Community Manager, Helena Grayson, weighed in on this matter with her own statement, which she sent me and many others in the Plotagon community. I will posts texts from it in green italics and my responses in blue bold.
The official Plotagon account was added to a group chat on Instagram over the weekend, where a few community members confronted another user regarding bullying our friend and community member Kieron. I know there were some related concerns in December with the launch of our Countdown Calendar, and I deleted inappropriate comments and blocked those commenters from being able to continue to post on our account. You’re receiving this email as I saw you were also in the chat I am referring to. If you didn’t get involved upon being added, you can disregard this email. 🙂
I was there in that chat for less than half an hour, leaving it because I had said what I needed to say and was then content to move on…..and get some much needed sleep!
Shortly after the majority of the messages in that group chat took place this weekend, I received an apology email from someone who is claiming responsibility as well as having our account tagged in their apology video. So it seems like the issue has resolved itself. Hopefully it stays resolved.
I hope so too, of course. As long as the former troll keeps his word, I have nothing more to add.
For your information, in case this issue arises again with the same individual or with others in the future, there’s not much we (Plotagon) can do to prevent bullies from bullying beyond blocking inappropriate posts and posters from commenting on our posts and across our accounts. As the harassment takes place on other platforms, they’re the only ones who can and have the authority as well as power to step in and handle issues. I encourage you to reach out to the community assistance on any social platforms being utilized for harassment to get help, as those people will be able to send warnings, block, ban, check IPs (which helps them determine bad actors and whether involved parties are creating extra accounts to continue bullying or cause more drama in other ways), prevent spamming, etc., if the bullying goes against their community standards and guidelines. Had this person/these people in December continued to try their bullying tactics on our YouTube channel or our accounts on other social sites, this is exactly what I would have done, but deleting and blocking seemed to work fine in this instance.
Yes, YouTube’s admin should be more active in stopping cyberbullies. The fact that iilluminaughtii’s channel is still up after all the shit she has done to Oz Media and so many others makes me wonder what YouTube’s standards really are.
Also, in this chat, I saw there was some use of decidedly misogynistic (including but not limited to using slurs/bad words referring to female body parts as insults, referring to women as one would a female dog, unkind references toward mothers), and/or homophobic language (including but not limited to referring to performing fellatio as a way to insult or degrade). This kind of language isn’t okay for our official accounts to be involved with. I don’t want anyone using it even if they’re doing so to defend Plotagon or our community members, as our company strongly supports equality for everyone and that sort of language is demeaning. I ask in the future that if this happens, to be mindful, tone that sort of rhetoric down, and involve the appropriate authorities responsible for the platform the harassment is happening on.
Yeah, I don’t approve of such language myself. The worst thing I did was call the troll an asshole. I was also accusing him of being Mr. Plot, a Plotagon user known to make de facto CHILD PORN with the app, much to my and Kieron’s disgust.
I know you have our app and our community’s best interests at heart, and with my extensive background in community management and social media, I want to share that the best practice is to block the people who try to disrupt your posts and cause chaos and involve the platform’s help when that doesn’t work. Engaging with those who do this — and certainly threatening and insulting them — is the least effective method, truly. Don’t feed the trolls, as the saying goes.
We did try ignoring the troll for a while and that didn’t work. Making the chat room to bust his ass in it was our last resort. And you can’t argue with the results.
Here’s hoping that things remain calm after a very chaotic weekend.

As I see it, the whole point of creating that group and then forcing the troll into it repeatedly was to give him a massive dose of his own medicine, to throw right back at him the insane HATE he was inflicting on all of us! In the end, we finally broke him and so he was made to apologize and promise not to pull such stunts again.

We have since discovered who the real troll was: a user known as ComedyAfterHours. He was exposed by another user known as Celebrities in Plotagon.
A Case of Cognitive Dissonance from a Plotagonist

Indeed, most Plotagonists I know are fully supportive of LGBT rights, which is what Pride Month is all about.
And yet the very next video on his channel is THIS:

So the standard is for gays and lesbians to be celibate, not to engage in any sexual behavior that fits their orientation. To me, that is profoundly insulting. You might as well demand a person starve themself to death.
The Roman Catholic Church has required that all its clergy be celibate. Is it a coincidence that it is also notorious for that same clergy sexually abusing children and trying for so long to cover it up? It seems to me that when you try to suppress for too long natural sexual urges, it eventually comes out in destructive ways. It also breeds hypocrisy like rabbits.
Straight people have the option of marriage, so why not LGBT people? Then they would be equal in the sight of God. Denying LGBT people marriage as an option is by definition treating them as lesser beings. So don’t talk to me about treating them with “kindness, compassion and understanding.” That’s clearly a lie!
And this argument is just insulting to my intelligence:

The Christian Grace Network on YouTube
Since April of 2021, I have used Plotagon, an animation app, to tell stories for four different purposes:
- To promote my religious philosophy, Unitarian Universalism (UU)
- To depict atheists as loving people
- To depict LGBT people as normal people and not just perverts
- To combat racism
Imagine my dismay to find a YouTube channel with Plotagon made videos that are for completely opposed purposes to mine! Look at the Christian Grace Network:

I was immediately repulsed by the self-righteous tone of the storytelling.
Compare that with one of my early works:
I don’t try to be “preachy”; I just show how people can be hurt by religious bigotry. That Christian Grace Network actually PROMOTES religious bigotry by making teachings from the Bible the foundation of all its videos. But reality is much too complex to be reduced to the understanding of one religious view.
And to illustrate that point, here’s another video of the same series I made a few days ago:
There’s a reference to Jesus, but Debbie and Carrie are still atheists (and Unitarian Universalists), plus Angel and her fiancé are identified as Jewish. Plus, no effort is made to convert the drug addicts to Christianity or any other religion to get them clean: they really don’t need that! Indeed, there are too many stories of people being emotionally ruined by toxic brands of Christianity for me to tolerate it being used to get people off drugs and alcohol; in most such cases, they would just be trading one addiction for another. The real point of rehab is to free people of ALL addictions, not to merely get them off one particular substance.
Considering that Plotagon was created in Sweden, a largely atheist country (even though it is also largely Lutheran, most Swedes do not attend churches), I think even the Plotagon company itself would be INSULTED by what the Christian Grace Network is using their app for. I know I am!

After the massacre at the school, people found that post and slammed it with tons of angry comments. And as a result:

So they are indeed cowards!
I actually have a ton of respect for police officers who are willing to do their jobs to protect and serve. I have even depicted them positively in my Plotagon made series, the Debbie and Carrie Show.
But I have also featured bad cops and how terrible they can be.
And that is it should always be: praise the good, criticize the bad. Sadly, those who say “Blue lives matter” in response to “Black lives matter” clearly want cops to be above criticism and are racist. And America is supposed to be a free country?
A Press Kit for the Debbie and Carrie Show
The Debbie and Carrie Show is a web based series of videos I have made using the Plotagon app.
PLOT ELEMENTS:
Setting: A small, unnamed town in east Texas in the present day.
Storyline: The show is centered on two teenage (later adult) girls and their mothers. The early stories often deal with the Central Characters resisting the prevailing religious and political bigotries that dominate the town. As time passes, those bigotries are discredited and many people are won over to be friends with the Central Characters. Eventually, the town itself is changed completely.
Main characters:
Debbie Smith
Debbie as a young girl
Debbie as an older teen and an adult.
At the beginning of the saga, she is 13 years old. She is an atheist, like the others in her family. Her parents were divorced when she was four and then her mother moved her and her brother James from Tulsa, Oklahoma to the Town in Texas Debbie would spend the rest of her youth years in.
Carrie Sims
Carrie as a young girl.
Carrie as an older teen
Carrie as an adult
Debbie’s best friend, also age 13 at the start of the saga, later her love partner and finally her wife. Raised by a lesbian couple. Unlike the sweet and gentle Debbie, Carrie was known for her violent tendencies and was more than willing to both dish out and take beatings to defend Debbie and herself from bullies and bigots.
Sandy Smith

Mother of Debbie, she is a lawyer (and also a restaurant owner for part of the saga) who specializes in defending the rights of LGBT people. Was raised a Christian but became atheist as a teen.
Jessica Sims

Birth mother of Carrie, she, her wife Lucy, and Carrie all came from Boston to buy a cheap house in the Town, only to find themselves surrounded by bigots. In an effort to resist the anti-atheist and anti-LGBT bigotry, she persuaded the others to form with her an Unitarian Universalist fellowship so Debbie and Carrie would have their own values and community to identify with. Was never religious before being a co-founder of the fellowship. Owns a pharmacy for most of the saga.
Lucy Sims

Wife of Jessica and co-mother of Carrie. Was originally a Jehovah’s Witness but became alienated from her original family after coming out as lesbian. Was converted to atheism by Jessica. Eventually became the owner of an Italian restaurant, the Tuscany Tavern. Shuns alcohol, tends to drink only water. Says Jessica is her one and only true love. As both a lesbian and an African-American, she is often a target of bigots even more than the other Central Characters, but they ALL stand together when any of them are attacked for any reason.

Nearly all my videos listed on those blog entries were made using Plotagon Studio, the app made for desktop computers. There is also Plotagon Story, which is the version made for smartphones. I recently downloaded that one too……and now only that version is left, because I and many other users have NO access to Plotagon Studio!
